From a Grade U to an A- that’s what Mdm Chung helped me to achieve. And for that, I could never be more thankful to have engaged her as my tutor.
Right from the start of JC1, I was already struggling with my H2 Maths and was getting a U for all the exams. I wasn’t doing too well for my other subjects too and so, when I was JC2, I decided to leave school in March and study at home. There was only around 8 months to the ‘A’ levels exams and I needed a miracle.
I managed to engage Mdm Chung as my Maths tutor and what she did for me next was truly amazing. As she was a teacher at Tampines JC then, she was up-to-date with the current syllabus and this gave me more confidence in her teaching. She not only re-taught me the concepts but also showed me how they could be applied in the test questions. She also provided ample tutorials, notes and past years examinations to aid the learning, and her close guidance helped me grasp a better understanding too. My confidence was boosted tremendously too as I started to be able to solve more and more challenging questions.
Mdm Chung was also never late once for her lessons and she would always continue on teaching until the agenda for that day has been accomplished, even though the lesson time has exceeded. From this I could definitely tell that Mdm Chung has great passion for teaching and would always strive to ensure that her students are given her undivided attention and ultimately, to be able to ace the exam.
As the ‘A’ levels drew closer, I was given past years Cambridge and School papers to do and I was getting a grade A for all of them. And sure enough, I finally got my A for my H2 Maths! I can only attribute this to Mdm Chung for her effective teaching methods and unfailing believe in me! Once again, thank you Mdm Chung!!

Mdm Chung is a dedicated and knowledgeable teacher and has helped me a lot in my JC H2 Mathematics. Honestly, I nearly gave up in Maths. I was failing really badly in JC1. I still could remember how I used to leave my tutorials blank not because I don’t want to complete them but because I couldn’t do any of them. I was surrounded with darkness but Mdm Chung gave me the light once again. She gave me hope. She gave me confidence. She believed in me right to the very end. Since then, I could understand the lectures taught in school. I could do my tutorials with ease. I could proudly share my knowledge with my peers. Her constant commitment and determination she presents to both my brother and I truly enlightened our minds towards the subject. I’m truly blessed to have such an inspiring teacher like her. I am a working adult who attended Mdm Chung’s A-level Mathematics lessons from 2012-2013. The summarized notes made by Mdm Chung were especially useful when it came to the final revision and the last few hours of preparation before the real exam. And for students that are slow learners or accustomed to their own pace of learning, Mdm Chung ensures that you grasp the depth, not just the breadth, of the subject, which benefited me a lot as it took me some time to fully master certain mathematical techniques.
Doing tutorials or mock papers during odd hours or weekends is a usual task for a JC student. When we faced difficulty doing these practices, it’s not uncommon that we are not able to understand the solutions but unable to find help directly. But fret not, Mdm Chung would definitely provide a helping hand for you.

Mdm Chung is a teacher that consistently ensures that the welfare and academics of a student is well taken care of. Being in her tuition class for 2 years, I have enjoyed Mdm Chung’s lessons tremendously.
She will always help her students discover new and innovative ways to solve and overcome tougher questions. Furthermore, Mdm Chung will frequently ensure that her students are well rested whenever a test is around the corner. She will also remind her students on the things to do and the habits they should adopt during a preparation for an examination or a test. I found this exceptionally useful as it serves as a stress reliever for us, which I believe allows most of her students to excel at their best when they sit for their examinations. In addition, Mdm Chung never hesitates to help when a student is in need of assistance. For example, when her students ‘Whatsapp’ her certain questions, she will always write out step by step solutions for the student to better understand it. Mdm Chung will always ensure all enquiries are met, even if it meant staying back after class.
When it comes to lessons in class, Mdm Chung will always ensure that her notes are concise. Besides that, the essential concepts needed for the particular chapters will always be covered in her notes. This will enable a student to quicken his/her revision and more time would be dedicated for practising, which I believe is the most important way for a student to correctly grasp a particular concept.
Lastly, I would like to thank Mdm Chung for the amount of effort she put into the class and to each individual students. I am grateful for her guidance these 2 years. In addition, I am glad and grateful that I chose to attend Mdm Chung’s class 2 years ago.

I was really desperate for a good and dedicated Maths tutor when I retook exam last year as a private candidate. I happened to chance upon Mdm Chung’s website and decided to give it a try. That was truly the best decision I’ve made.
Mdm Chung constantly ensures that I’ve understood the basic ideas before proceeding with the intermediate concepts. Her extensive knowledge and skill on the subject were really helpful in helping me understand the problem sums.
Mdm Chung has a wide range of materials which were given out every lesson. This is of immense importance for a private candidate since we do not have any updated materials.
I also remembered fondly, how she always made sure to finish up whatever’s left on the paper even after the 2 hour lesson has ended. This clearly shows her dedication and commitment as a tutor.

I first had tuition with Mdm Chung when I was in secondary 3 for my A Maths. I have always failed my A Maths and did not even manage to pass even once until I had tuition with her. Believe it or not, I scored an A1 after constantly scoring F9, for my final year exams. Not only that, it was almost a perfect score! Through her tuition I was able to better comprehend the concepts and theories in A Maths making me easier to answer the questions.
